#1: Chicken Piccata

First grocery shopping trip with a list of things from a recipe--love trader joe's :)


I'm trying out recipes from this blog called Eat Yourself Skinny, you know, trying to get in shape and all. I wish my pictures came out as cute as hers!  But alas..I have dark purple plates, very used pots, and a bland kitchen so I've done what I can to make my concoction presentable!

So my first post--my first dish I've ever cooked following a recipe! The recipe came from here and I don't know HOW she made her dish look so good but it definitely tasted delish!! If you don't like capers or lemon, the taste of them might be too strong for you.  This dish was really easy to make, I probably didn't follow it as well as I thought since I did have way too much sauce leftover [which I will be using as dip for my pita crackers ;)].

olive oil [which i substituted for the canola oil that it calls for], pepper, and salt smelled good already!

Serving size was 2 cutlets..I ended up eating all 4 cause it was addicting! ;) [I just realized that that's why I probably had leftover sauce..because the recipe called for 8 cutlets..duhhh -___-]


like our tablecloth? got it for 5 bucks when valentine's day puked all over target shelves :)
